  • Thanks Gerald! It was a challenge to try and depict the backlighting. And I discovered some cool photoshop techniques for the fireworks along the way.

I feel the same way as you do about this country. It starts with a people who have turned their eyes away from God and it goes all the way up the chain of command to the leaders we have elected over us. And it finishes with an apathetic church body who has forgotten about the Great Commission.

But I do hold on hope, and I pray that God can restore our hearts and minds before it is too late. The Fourth of July is my favorite holiday. God has placed freedom in the core of every individual and the founding of this nation is nothing short of a miracle.

  • ...thank you! This art is absolutely gorgeous, I love the motion and folds in the material and the backlighting of the fireworks! Your vision of the American flag makes me want to hope that perhaps, just perhaps, this is not the twilight of America, but that this nation can become a thing of beauty again. (And I apologize sincerely to those who's faith in our Country is not as worn down and faltering as mine. God bless us all this 4th of July!)

  • Here's a little Fourth of July pen and ink work for everybody.
