Here's a comic-style illustration I did in collaboration with my friend Daryl Peninton, for the Scripture Union Big Bible Challenge.

Traditionally pencilled and inked, then coloured up in Photoshop CS4.

Bottom left is young Samuel, top left is old Samuel anointing Saul, top right is Saul realising David could have killed him in the cave, and bottom right is David greeting the prophet Nathan. You can figure out the middle :)
