Thanks Martin! Even though the line work is loose I consider it completed. I like both tight drawings and loose ones. I think both have a nice feel to them.
BTW, in case anyone is interested, I have a free online sci-fi comic book called ORANGE PEEL 3. It's a very different sort of story that I created to give a basic introduction to Christian teachings in a fantastic setting. Here's the link www.ORANGEPEEL3.com
That's a good point. My approach to the bible stories is to make them kind of cool for a younger audience. Exact accuracy is less of a concern. I want don't people to look at my illustrations as an attempt to be historically accurate. One reason for that is that you probably couldn't anyway. That's why the lions are huge. I'm not sure if this is a totally good idea or not, but I hope it is. I'm trying to create interest in the real stories. That's why it's good that you point out inaccuracies. It gives me the chance to make it clear to everyone what I hope to accomplish. I have other bible depictions that are even more fantastic imaginings (for example my Jonah illustration). I need feedback from dedicated Christians.
Couldn't you have given Daniel less of a stern look? It gives the impression that HE's in control of the whole situtation....Other than that it's a beautiful sketch!
Very nice!
btw, Have you read "Pride of Baghdad"? by Brian Vaughan and Niko henrichon. It has a very similar feel. (And it's a great story)
Hope you had a good Easter.

Also, you can see fun sketches that I put up on Facebook every once and a while at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Christian-comic-book-Orange-Peel-3/1...
Very cool. I like how you pulled the colors out of the background. Is this completed or a stage?
