There are two things I find especially gripping in your illustration. First, the exagerated size of the cross works as a dynamic element in the design and to emphasize the weight of it. Second, the soldier walking ahead of Christ looks like a guy who is 'just doing his job.' It underscores the reality that they did not know what they were doing- that they thought this was just another day, just another criminal. Thank you.
