Those are an actual alley in downtown Hendersonville a half a block east on 5th. I didn't alter any parts of the buildings.
If you're doing skyscrapers you can always continue drawing floors to what ever picture resource you have. When I shot them, I had in mind to make it look like a much taller city by the way I angled the shots.
Thanks, Carlos. That's from a book that got put on the backburner till I can get around to it. When I was planning that page I rode around with my kids and shot alleyways in Hendersonville and Asheville, NC. I soon discovered any alleyway no matter what town you're in can make for really cool backgrounds. I shot close to 100 shots and printed then out and three-ring binded them and put them in a three-ring binder and saved them for future resources.
I pencilled, inked and graytoned that. It looked pretty cool without the tones but, man, it popped, for me, with the grays added. Sorry, I'm tooting my own horn there, but I like that page.
