  • I like the one that you draw on the right in top. God bless
  • I think it's hard to make a crane look evil or at least a nemesis. The neck makes it look like a flamingo or buzzard. The body of the fox is nice!
  • And, why is that?
  • I like the drawing of the fox on the right-hand side. The construction is solid, and his face has a nice attitude in it, and the drawing doesn't feel overworked. The closeup is losing some of that appeal, because the eyes are tilting the opposite direction. The righ-hand drawing has the eyes tilted in toward the top, like this /\ -- the closeup has them tilted like this \/ which is making him look depressed.

Try doing some more full body poses of him. It seems like you get bogged down a little when you're drawing just the face, so stay loose and push thru a few more body poses. Faces are easier when the body's posture is helping you sell their attitude.

    Good stuff, man.

  • As you can see I never followed up on the idea so far...
  • The show I had in mind was supposed to be a silly spoof of hanna-babara (and studios copying their style) superhero/action/sci-fi cartoons they came up with throughout the decades...The story was that for some reason or another a collective body of aliens decided to fire these cosmic rays at earth to empower the intelligent life dwelling on it, but it ends up turning all the animals on our planet into super heroes or villians that all could speak english! The fox was the main character although his only power was that he could travel at relative speeds to like and could compress himself into the size of a proton and blast through anything as such...The crane would be the lex luthor/kingpin hybrid that you always need to have for such parodies, the midigit bear was the foxes sidekick or manager (can't really remember what he was) and the dog next to the fox is entirely unrelated to the whole rest of the page :P...
