  • brandon,

I came across this site and use it for inspiration for covers. I  thought it would be of help. A good collection of Pulp Covers

  • the model references would be cool. I am creating a reference guide with a bunch of cool pics for reference for comic drawing. It will probably be a free online resource. If you want me to do some pin up for you, I am willing to help out. I love the 50's pulp and fighter nose art genre. The fun part (as well as challenging) is to keep the women classy while not objectifing.

  • hey, whats 8 bit pulp. looks interesting? Are you using the model as a reference for the cover. If so I would like to see how she turned out. She matches the look I have for one of the characters I want to feature in one of my projects.

  • Hey noel, ive never really explored the musical genre of steampunk. you might want to try using Pandora to find similar artists, or just a general search online. wish i had specific suggestions for you, but im pretty musically illiterate. =/ have fun exploring...lemme know if you discover anything awesome =)
  • finally watched this sword fighting video of yours... getting paid for that... what a dream job.
  • i jus emailed you the first bit of a brain dump i did on the seeeecret project. wink wink.
  • Haha, thanks. Yeah, I did that for Halloween.
  • Hi Brandon, thanks for adding me. I like your drawings and your use of already well known characters, like the Spider-Man, Superman, and Batman families. I also enjoy both apologetics and swordfighting, so it looks like we've got some things in common there as well. Keep up the good work.
  • HI Brandon!

Great photos from the con! :) Welcome aboard. I'm Scott A. Shuford, one of the new CCAS Board members. I wanted to stop in and say thanks for being involved with CCAS!

If you have any input or would like to be involved with anything in particular, please let me and Eric Jansen (Membership Coordinator for CCAS) know by contacting us both through the site.

To see a bit more about me, check out my profile here on the site. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better.

I'll look forward to your next post or join in a forum discussion topic, blog entry or art, video or whatever! :)

    At Your Service,

    Scott A. Shuford

Consider the words of C.S. Lewis:
"If there lurks in most modern minds the notion that to desire our own good and to earnestly hope for the enjoyment of it is a bad thing, I suggest that this notion has crept in from Kant and the Stoics and is no part of the Christian faith. Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased."
  • Sir Brandon, welcome to the CCAS. It was such a pleasure meeting you at San Diego this year. You said you were there last, but I didn't get a chance to connect with you. With the smaller group it was far easier getting to know some of the people. I pray you had a great time. You will definitely find some very talented brothers and sisters in the Lord on this site. I would encourage you to post some of your work here. May the God of our Savior, Jesus Christ continue to bless you, your household, and the works of your hands.
