  • thanks for the information! i'm wondering right now about APE- will CCAS be there? do you know of anyone who would want to sahre a table?
    thanks so much!
  • Hello Scott,

Thanks for the welcome. I haven't tried to post anything to a forum yet, but I'm able to view them now. So I'm assuming everything's good. Have a blessed day and I look forward to connecting with you as well.
  • Yes of course, it's the same testimony.
I will be here during the festival, from the Saturday before to the Monday after (to be there for the Church services the Sundays). I know that churches are organized well in advance thus I think it would be good to contact them now, and also to book the plane ticket asap.
I can give my testimony in English but also in Spanish (I'm half Spanish). I can also go to youth group, congress during the week.
  • Thank you for the time you took to answer all my questions.
I look forward to taking part to this new challenge!
In the meanwhile, waiting that I can subscribe to the comic con, I'm looking for churches that would invite me to give my testimony next year.
You said you have some contacts, could you speak to some pastors of me?
  • Err... no! I didn't get your answer...
  • Happy birthday, Scott - enjoy San Diego!
  • Hai Scott what is done in the writer group and how can i be come a member
  • Thanks a lot Scott !

Do you have ideas how I could also take part in the “non-Christian” part of the festival? Do you have contacts with them?

Here in Europe, the secular world is more closed to the gospel than in the US. It is rare to find a Christian book in bookshops. With God’s help, I raised up like Joshua to conquer these lands that the enemy stole us. It was lot of fight and I had to convince the Christians too that it’s possible. Today in my country, it’s already a big victory, because my books even very evangelistic oriented are available in every bookshop. There were even available in most of the kiosks. A lot of people have been touch also when I gave my born again testimony on the national TV (because media have seen that something unusual happened). God is great, if he did that in a closed country like mine, what would happen in yours... We have to raise up to preach the gospel to the ones who are getting lost. The comic books are not only a game, a pleasure, thousand of souls will meet the Lord through this. This is a mission that we have to take seriously and this is a big responsibility.

For Jesus’ sake and in him,

    Alain

  • Hi Scott,

Thanks for your kind welcoming note.

Like you have perhaps already seen on my page, I'm a Comic artist. The Lord was good to me and he had the goodness to use me to touch thousand of people in Europe. I had the chance to receive some prizes at the Angouleme festival (you probably know this already, this is the biggest comic festival in Europe, perhaps in the world).

I think I could bring an encouragement to the Christian comic artists in the US by telling them all what God did through this ministry. I could give my testimony in churches in San Diego and encourage the artists at the Comic con. Would it be possible to be involved at the CCAS exhibit next year?
