  • Thanks. Glad you like it.
  • Hello Rognvaldur Sveinsson,

Thanks for the welcome to the site. As for your question, I think it should be asked differently. It shouldn't be "Does God like the X-Men?" but "Does God love them?" The same can be said for those responsible for creating the X-Men. With that said, there is some content in X-Men comics that I do not agree with. However, I'm not reading them (or any other "secular" comic for that matter) because I endorse all of their messages and content. I read them because (1) the stories about the issues and struggles within humanity are well-told and (2) by reading comics (and other cultural item), I am able to gain a better perspective on the issues and concerns of the "unsaved." If we are called to witness to and be a minister to them (i.e., those who write comics like the X-Men), we need to better understand their issues and concerns. The things they care about. We all know that Jesus didn't "like" prostitution or the greed and shadiness of tax collectors, but He spent time with them to understand them and relate to them. This is why His ministry was so effective, and why the Pharisees and "religious folk" of the day eventually wanted Him dead. I pray this response does not sound defensive or gets taken the wrong way. I just wanted to present my take on your question. Stay blessed and encouraged, and hopefully we can continue this conversation and learn from each other.
