  • Thanks for the encouragement! Yeah, I am in the same boat about getting serious with art again. Been about 5-10 years for me. Making new friends here and in daily life which has also been exciting. God's got His crazy awesome plan, and we just need to be available. Have a great week, and may He continually bless you!
  • I did some more research on tablets... it appears that Genius released the MousePen 6x8 as PenSketch 6x8 for digital artists. When the PenSketch 9x12 size approached, it appears it was renamed MousePen. Further, it appears that Genius sells a better pen for the PenSketch 6x8 and 9x12 separately. The pen included appears to disappoint a number of people. The tablet with the included pen is found at over half off it's list price at this link -> Walmart. The 'good pen' appears to be found at this other link -> genius e-shop. It's a bit of a put-together situation, with drivers to download, but the research seems to indicate it's a really good deal.
  • Thanks for letting me know Michele. I have been doing some more research on tablets, and found the Genius PenSketch 9x12... Chris Scalf did this with this PenSketch tablet. Also, this manga speedpainting was done with the Genius F610 tablet.
  • Sure you can share my art with him. ^^ Any style of artwork that you like?

  • Oh, it's alright Michele. I'm up for a chat most anytime. Oh, and it appears from your comment log I never said welcome to CCAS. My apologies. Welcome.
  • Welcome to CCAS, Michele! Any woman interested in graphic design and animation, particularly of the Christian faith, is okay in my book. LOL. I hope you post your work for fellow member to see on this site. May God bless you in your studies at Biola U.
  • Welcome to the CCAS. YOu should definitely post some of your work on this site. Looking forward to knowing more about you. By the way, my college age children are friends with a young lady who is from Trinidad & Tobago. She just got back from there visiting her parents. She brought back some Trini snacks like perserved mangos. She and my son attend Biola University in Southern California. May the God of our Savior, Jesus Christ, richly bless you and your family.
  • No worries. We'll probably just have to have you do email based interviews. We have one other member, Sam Harris who is also on board to write. I'll divide some things up between you two. Would you please email me your normal email address along with a simple writing sample? You can send to scottATfrontgatemedia.com where AT is @. :)
  • HI Michele,

Welcome aboard! I'm Scott A. Shuford, one of the CCAS Board members. I want to stop in and say thanks for being involved with CCAS!

We are looking for writers who would like to interview industry people and write up articles for us. If you are interested, then please contact me.

To see a bit more about me, check out my profile here on the site. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better.

Can you post or join in a forum discussion topic, post your own blog entry or upload your art or video now? :)

Consider the words of C.S. Lewis:
"If there lurks in most modern minds the notion that to desire our own good and to earnestly hope for the enjoyment of it is a bad thing, I suggest that this notion has crept in from Kant and the Stoics and is no part of the Christian faith. Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased."
