  • Happy birthday, Adam!
  • how has the t-shirt stuff been going? many avenues for you to do work for? using pencil outlines can potentially save you some time!:) so that sounds good. can't find many examples of Andy Kubert finished pencil stuff, but I've seen this technique around a lot- not sure if this is using it but have you seen this free weekly web comic? www.freakangels.com the story seems a bit dark (I dont really know what it's about) but the colours and backgrounds are really really good
    You are being redirected...
  • hey Adam. I like the idea of making cool graphic design posters/tshirts- it's very worthwhile in a Gospel sense-you've got some good ideas too. I was curious bout what you said that you don't really ink anything anymore so I thought I'd have another look at your art, I've seen lots of other cool stuff left raw like that too- so do you just make it dark with pencil and use the 'levels' in photoshop? (to get an outline- instead of ink?)
  • Welcome, fellow floridian. this is a graet place to meet many other art oriented chistians. Like your work!

Consider the words of C.S. Lewis:
"If there lurks in most modern minds the notion that to desire our own good and to earnestly hope for the enjoyment of it is a bad thing, I suggest that this notion has crept in from Kant and the Stoics and is no part of the Christian faith. Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased."
  • hey Dude- GREAT to see you here :D, I'm sure you'll get along so well with all these cool and God-focused Artists. well spoken in your email about the direction that you're going for with the battles etc in your Peretti idea. I still personally think a bit different but I think your passion is great. I really share the idea that this book as a GN would have great appeal to non Believers and would be a great evangelistic tool, so if you end up getting a team together, consider me! Have you seen Final Fantasy? just wondering cause I still think having the demons all freaky is probably scary enough without chopping limbs off etc. but I respect that you've got your own ideas. Thats cool that you'v established a link with his manager. from what I read on his blog site, they could be waiting for the rites to revert back to Frank b4 they do anything. that is such a great blog site, he is such a funny, down to earth guy and hasn't he been through so much with that ear thing? And exciting he's probably writing a 3rd book!!
  • Hello, Adam! Welcome to CCAS!
