You guys may think Im nuts. Thats fine.
Has anyone else seen 'visions'.
Screaming faces/Shadow people/Demons/Wolves (Bad)
Doves/domesticated animals/robed feet (Good)
Or
Their name being spoken to them when no one is around or awake (usually at night)
Or
Feel a tingling sensation on the back of their head when demons appear.
Or
Get the strong urge to walk with no shoes on in the dirt and feel at peace (Later did I find out that God commanded Moses to take is shoes off)
Or
Be driven to your face in the carpet in tears and sobs during prayer?
That aren't really there. I know my walk is a bit 'different' (everyone's is really)
Im a very new christian of 6 months. And all of these things started happening the week I got saved. And still happen. I know a lot of these things are 'taboo' and not spoken about in church.
Just wondering if anyone's experienced any of this..
Hope this is the right place to post this at..

Alika,
You have a tendency to create discord and arguing, have you ever noticed that? I don't mean this as an attack, but an observation.
It seems in most threads that you join the result is division. Why is that?
I say this because quite honestly it is tiring, and because it makes it difficult to have a respectful and meaningful conversation.
Say what you will in response, it doesn't matter. I won't respond.
...Further, you have difficulty is distinguishing truth from individuals. The discussion we were having was dealing with spiritual warfare. Yet now you attack CS Lewis.
Have you ever heard of a genetic fallacy? It is a logical fallacy that discounts the truth of a statement NOT by the quality of the statement, but by who said it.
The quote I gave by CS Lewis is true in my estimation, and I offered it as a help to Jolene, but you chose to ignore the statement itself (and the point and purpose of the discussion in general), and you went on a tear about CS Lewis and how heretical he is.
It wouldn't matter of CS Lewis said it, or Stephen King, or Mel Brooks, or Fred Flintstone, or the apostle Paul... the truth of any statement is not reliant on WHO said it, but on the statement itself.
What purpose did your rant serve? Has it furthered the conversation? Has it helped to clear up the issue at hand? Or has it helped to confuse and frustrate all involved?
You may feel the need to beat everyone into you strain of Christianity. That's okay, it is a free country. (Thanks to our slave-owning, heretical, Masonic Founding Fathers, yes?) But I certainly don't have to encourage you, do I?
So, again, say what you will, but I won't be responding. Life is just too darn short.
God bless, friends.
@Martin how is that a good post he just contradicted everything you said considering what we're talking about as nonsense, then following it up w/ a quote from that adversarialist.. Now i'm gonna get "lewis is not an illuminist", so here's quotes from C.S.Lewis' books, his own words.
This is what luciferians believe not Christians and he published this twice in two books.
This is what Evolutionist believe not Christians.
This is what Heretics believe not Christians.
Thought this Scripture was humorously pertinent.
Luke 24:11
11 But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense.
@Melchi my advice to you is don't put your faith in people. Be it for wisdom and knowledge, or even just counting on them to be there, you'll just find yourself disappointed. The only one who is constant and reliable is Christ thru His Holy Spirit, and He should be the only one you can/should be relying on. Go to the source not human interpretations.
Thanks for your response Martin. You wrote better than I could to why i shared.
Alika, you have to understand that I grew up thinking something was wrong with me and God because of the manifistations and spiritual things I experienced. Many people who already have the curtain unhidden before them go into cult practice/ pshycic stuff and so on (This may cause another discussion), simply because there wasn't a Christian that could relate or explain this stuff. I know I tried some weird stuff looking for answers and sadly the Christians I went to for help thought I was nuts and so on. So I thank God for the trailblazers who know more than me and experience what I have.
There is secret knowledge to man, but it's all in the bible. No one can say they understand the entire Bible. Therefore there is secret knowledge to learn as long as it lines up with the scriptures.
And your relationship with God is the most important, but we're not lone rangers. It's just not you and God. God uses people to help you, just like you are meant to help people. That's why God command us to fellowship with others. Faith comes by hearing-Hearing the word of God. That means there is power when someone shares the word. In Revelations it say the devil was defeated by the blood of Christ and the testimony of believers.
Anyway, I don't share these things to seem like I'm special or i know some great stuff. If anything it took me many years not to see myself as being cursed. But I promised myself if anyone ever came to me or shared similar experiences that I was going to try to help and encourage them the best I know how.
Great post Steve!
Jolene,
There's been a lot of words, and a lot of back-and-forth on this, but I'd like to add my two cents as succinctly as possible...
I've had some odd spiritual incidents and manifestations in my life. The spiritual realm is a reality, and once in a while the Lord pulls back the curtain and allows us a glimpse. But regardless of the specifics, and the details it all boils down to this very simple principle-
"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you." (James 4:7-8)
That's it.
Resist the devil. Do not be drawn in by visions, voices, or any such non-sense. Do not investigate. Pay them no mind. Yes, acknowledge that the devil exists, but give him none of your time and effort.
(In "The Screwtape Letters" CS Lewis writes that there are two ways men can fall to demons- the first is to have an unhealthy interest in them, and the second is to completely disbelieve in their existence. I think that's true.)
Draw near to God. Pray. Read His word. Walk in His creation. Fellowship with His people. Be encouraged. Saturate your life with Him.
That's it, simple, as most spiritual things are.
Only one thing rids the world of shadows, and that is Light.
God bless.
Alika - who are you referring to? Mel? Or someone else?
Regarding your comment: "What you're saying is wrong, the whole idea that some person has some sort of knowledge and go to them to learn about it is so occultish"
I have to disagree with that statement: If a person has gone through the experience and has understanding on how to deal with something why not let that person help someone else who might be going through a similar situation? I mean, if I was dealing with some sort of demonic thing, and I met someone else who has already dealt with it or something similar, I would be more than happy to hear how they dealt with the problem if I haven't been getting results.
Though, yes, I do understand the point you're making about our relationship with Christ.
I DO agree that Jesus and his gift of salvation and his relationship is FREE, FREE, FREE - so yes, run away from people who ask for money for deliverance and healing or even for "knowledge in the word". But if someone has tools to help in protection and deliverance, and they are sound in the Bible, then considering their information might be of use.
But yes, most important is our DIRECT relationship with Yeshua.
Jolene, you are not alone in these experiences. Read John 14, Mark 16*, and Luke 10:19: "Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and OVER ALL the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you."
Jesus has given you AUTHORITY. PERIOD. Accept it. Believe it. Know it. ACT ON IT.
Also, if you haven't been taught the Full armor of God Read Ephesians 6:10-18 and then pray this over yourself every morning and evening. It can go something like:
Jesus, I take your full armor and place it upon myself: Upon my head the Helmet of salvation, upon my chest the breastplate of righteousness. I gird my loins with the belt of Truth. In my left arm I take the Shield of Faith, which extinguishes the fiery darts of the enemy, in my right hand is the Sword of the Spirit, Which is the WORD of the LORD, and upon my feet the Gospel of Peace. This armor is my protection, and my battle gear...etc. etc. (personalize accordingly.)
You can also pray prayers of protection around you, around your room, home etc., and request angels come and protect you.
1. ASK and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be opened unto you.
2. Whatsoever you ask in my name (Jesus' Name) you shall receive. (So if that's protection, ask, slaughter of the demons around you - ask, anything else regarding this situation - need peace? guidance, wisdom, other?) (Read James to understand a little more of what you should be asking for and why).
Some other things that can help:
1. Get rid of anything and everything that might be detrimental. If there is a question ask Jesus what you should do with it.
2. Find a Spirit-filled woman (or a few) to help. Again ASK and the Lord will either lead them to you, or you to them. But make sure they can be trusted.
Jolene, I'm going to give you this encouragement - since you are a new Christian, TAKE THE BIBLE AT FACE VALUE. Don't be like the lukewarm bench warmers. Don't let some of the moldy-oldies water you down. Of course, use your head please, discern and test the spirits, and constantly talk to Jesus, Holy Spirit and the Father accordingly.
When Jesus says: "You will do greater works than me". BELIEVE IT. DO IT. And that includes casting out demons.
*Mark 16 talks about handling snakes and drinking poison - DO NOT DO THIS AS A TEST. Or for fun "to see if this works". This is more talking about situations that you might end up in - such as Paul in Acts 28 gets bitten by a viper but doesn't die, or like the missionary story I read where a group of missionaries went to a town to minister, and they get fed the strongest poison that the towns' folk have...but they don't die...so like I said, use your head.
Hope this is of some encouragement.
Another website that might be of help:

And watch this video (part 2 is wild): http://theministryofsalvation.net/ministryresources/test-3/
Most definitely see if you can find a Spirit-filled lady or three to help out.

2 Corinthians 4:4-6
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
What you're saying is wrong, the whole idea that some person has some sort of knowledge and go to them to learn about it is so occultish. ooh secret understanding of spiritual talk, listen to this minister invest money in this congregation. Never mind a personal relationship w/ Christ. Christianities about us being the lesser and Christ thru the Holy Spirit being the Greater shining thru us. So it's not our knowing it's Yahweh's. We're just vessel's for Him to work thru, not be greater than anyone else, but servants of everyone else.
What you experience Jolene is more common than you think, It's just you have to know which Christians to talk to. I've been through a number of demonic experiences as well as Godly spiritual experiences since i was a very young kid. Before i even gave myself to Christ I had gone through some spiritual things that I thought wasn't normal. Even after i became a believer over 10 years ago I searched for answers and believers who could relate. I didn't find any until years later when God brought to me a mentor and a church where people experience that stuff. And soon I met other believers and so on. Some say it's has to do with prophetic gifting or just being sensitive to the spiritual world. The truth is some folks are "gifted" and sensitive to the supernatural before they come to Christ, while others become more sensitive after they come to Christ. I was sensitive at an early age, my wife became sensitive in her twenties after she became a believer. She was attacked by demons often and she saw a vision of Jesus back then. Don't forget we have authority over demons. We can use the name of Jesus to drive them away. I know this by many experiences. Here's a link to some teacing about it http://www.awmi.net/extra/audio/1045
Here are some links to sites where you could get more info. The first four are ministries of believers who walk in the prophetic and see visions and so on. The next link is my old church where you can find different ministries and people there to search. The last link and the most important is a ministry that will help balance the supernatural with the word of God. Even though the revelations that Andrew Wommack gets from the Holy Spirit is amazing and intense at times. The truth is you need to balance what you are experiencing, because some believers can go to the extreme with the supernatural and ignore what the scriptures says. They will put their identity with the gifting and not in Jesus Christ. And of course love is most important. I've met too many"spiritual" believers whose heads are in the clouds. I figure you may have a better understanding than I did. And if people don't believe you or critisize you, give them grace, don't take it personal. You sometimes have to meet people where they are . I'm not trying to preach, but just saying I can relate. If you want more info on anything, my wife can contact you.

Buzz,
The thing is I know without a doubt where these things are coming from. The Holy Spirit guides me in all things. I know what comes from the Prince of This World. I cant tell you how I know the difference from these things but I do.
I do continue to pray, study my bible, and spend a lot of time in worship. And most important I do what I can to obey the Lord.
Maybe its different hearing it than living it.
