Rust Angel #5 is up and readable!

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that my newest issue of Rust Angel is now online!

You can read it here

Also I put the rest of my collection up on Scribd as well, since Wowio has been a bit slow to upload my stuff for me. And besides, more exposure never hurt, right?

Here's a link to the collection

Anyways as always my stuff is completely free to read and I love getting comments/criticism, so bring it on haha.

  • Brien, thanks for taking a look! I really appreciate the feedback, and I think you definitely hit the nail on the head with Celeste's lack of character development in this issue.  That is definitely something I'm going to have to keep a closer eye on while I write/draw in the future, since she is the focal point of the series, and I can't afford to forget that.

    Again, thanks!

Rust Angel #5 is an excellent work. All the usual details that one would expect from a professional piece are pro quality: POV, word balloons pacing, frame design, pic design… Nice!  The explanation of the balance of power woven into the story works very well and sets up the conflict and the involvement of the main powers. Couching the conflict of Pharaoh and Moses in a game of Senet was inspired.

I notice that Celeste is pushed to the side by powers and plans much bigger than her, and is not able to affect the plot much except for one family.  Moses’s entire backstory and personal conflict with Thut, neither affect nor are affected by Celeste.  Her conflict with Uriel allows her to voice some good questions about Command’s ethics, and that dialogue picks the story’s energy, but she gets brushed aside and her questions remain unanswered.  And since her thinking and plight remain unchanged by the main players and events, she fails to develop as a character.

Rust Angel#5 is a finished work and a good read.  As you craft RA#6, let Celeste converse with, and influence the decisions of the big players like Moses/Joshua/angels - - and be changed by them as well.

This story is a great read!
