CHRISTIAN COMIC ARTS SOCIETY :: A NETWORK OF CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP FOR COMICS FANS, PROS, AND AMATEURS

New Things at Cyberlight

Salutations.I know I don't post on here a lot. OK... I don't post on here at all :) But, I do have a lot of friends on here, and a lot of fans of Cyberlight. So, here's an 'all in one' update on what's going on.Cyberlight Comics (http://cyberlightcomics.com) - For those of you who have never heard of Cyberlight Comics before, here's a run down. Cyberlight Comics is the Christian version of Comicspace, Comic Genesis, and the other "host your own webcomics here" sites available. For almost five years now, Cyberlight has hosted webcomics from artists all over the world. From fantasy adventure to political satire, from traditional to Goth, Cyberlight hosts almost half a gig and two dozen titles of free webcomics. Cyberlight actively engages in promotional activities (Cons, banners, yahoo ads, etc) in order to maximize readership, allowing artists to focus on creating comics. What's New? Our primary focus has always been to provide a portal for Christian comic creators to 'shine their light' to lead our readership closer to God. However, as a natural extension of that goal, we've been working tightly with our own team members to brain storm ideas to encourage our Christian artists to maximize their time and talents. One of our more successful ideas has been our online journals. With limited access to those who request it from your's truly, the journals have been a great way for these artists to share their work in progress, using feedback from their peers for continual improvement and encouragement of their work. We currently have a contest running until March 31 to see who can keep up the best journal. You can find out more about the contest, what Cyberlight team members are working on, and how you can contribute to Cyberlight and help bring people closer to God (It's easier than you think!) by our boards, subscribing to our mailing list, and/or checking out the site.Christian Gamer Connection - Building off some of the formulas that made Cyberlight a success, we started a new site that focuses on gathering together Christian siblings the enjoy making or playing games (board, video, card, etc). Any member of the site will be able to post updated, reviews, previews, etc. via a multiuser Word Press blog and our boards. Aside from discussion about games in general, we will promote Christian games, comics and other Christian entertainment to our members. Furthermore, we will encourage Team members to develop their talents and use their time to Glorify God. You can find out more about this extremely new site at http://christiangamerconnection.com . And, if you like games of any sort, please join up and consider writing some short articles about your favorites!Wildlight Wildlight is the story of a young lady who has a Cybernetic suit installed inside of her. Now, people are hunting her down, she's finding out secrets about her family she never knew, and her best friend wants to kill her, literally. And while she fights many battles with her newfound powers and suit's AI, Christi, Tammy finds out the largest battles are the ones within. Wildlight is an ongoing, three part webcomic the weaves the story about a legacy of faith, staring with the bravery of a very unlikely young lady who becomes a Christian in a world that hates all religions. After 65 'webisodes,' we are nearing the end of the first of three 'seasons' of this epic tale. The second season will be starting towards to middle of this year, and will be better than the first! See what you've been missing now, so you can be ready for the exciting launching of season 2. ( http://cyberlightcomics.com/wildlight ).To be honest, I don't visit here nearly as often as I should. If you would like to reply back to me, ask questions, etc, feel free to write me directly (jcservant at cyberlightcomics dot com). If you'd rather talk over the phone (because even I get tired of all these emails), just send me your name, phone number and best times to call or ask me for mine.
