I hope you don't mind, but I colored a little sample of your work to show you a few things I think might be helpful.

First, set your drawing layer- assuming you're using PhotoShop- to "multiply". This will make the drawing transparent and get rid of those white/gray halos around the black lines. ...Then, color underneath that layer.

Second, I desaturated your colors quite a bit. All the values were the same. They were really saturated. Very strong. This tends to make the colors vibrate when placed next to each other, and they lack depth. So, I toned it down a bit.

Third, I chose a single light source, and tried to stick with it. When the light comes from a consistent source, the image reads better. It is more believable.

Fourth, I chose one color as my shadow color, but I set that layer to multiply as well. (I chose a bluish gray.) The benefit of that is that when you use the same color multiplied over other colors, the colors change but they all relate to the chosen color. This way all you shadows "feel" the same. They're the same intensity, and same feel. (i.e., hot or cold)

Anyway... in a nutshell, there it is. I sure hope you don't mind.

       God bless.
