So I was advised by a pro to ink with a brush. A daunting idea to say the least but practically not viable as my apartment is all carpet, so to spill would mean extra charge for me when I move out. But low and behold, micron manufactures pens with pain brush tips, and once again I found myself without an excuse to try it. So this week's page was my first try inking with a brush pen. The first is the raw as it shows on the page attempt. The second is the retouched attempt through photoshop to smooth out the shaky lines and big globs of black from trying to keep the pen steady. Still learning.
Post one thing you like and one thing you don't like.

This is an awesome page layout; flow of the story top to bottom is smooth and crystal clear. Possible confusion about the top-left frame( which I believe is a different setting, right?) could be clarified with a noticeable difference in its color or shading compared to the rest of the page.

@Yoshi - Yeah, some markers are absurdly expensive. I've mostly tried the cheaper ones. One nice thing about Michael's and Hobby Lobby though is that they pretty much always have a "40% off one item" coupon.
@Landon - Also, I like the layout in this page. It's complex without being cluttered and it flows well. My dislike would be that the guy's head seems too narrow.

I spent maybe 5 minutes wistfully looking at brush tip markers at the art store. I only brought enough money to get a couple inking markers...

You might want to experiment with different brands of brush pens. My experience with the Micron brushes is that they dry out really fast and get all "nubby" quickly. Very frustrating when the pen can't lay down a smooth line. (Unless they've improved since I tried them several years ago.)
Every now and then I'll try out a brush pen, but other than filling in black areas, I don't ink with them. Prismacolor Premier and Faber Castell PITT seem better to me, but I've never found one I was really happy with.
