Playing DC ONLINE and loving it!

OK -- so DC Online has been out for quite some time now.... I never played the game cause I truly didn't what anyone messing with my thoughts of how my "hero's" should be, act, etc... (I am also partial to Marvel) I did not think online game could live up to "my expectations .... Um ... I was wrong ..... I started playing the free version and sad to say, i am now hooked ... being able to create a character close to My Sword character and then having the ability to put him into to actions was gratifying to say the least. I was even able to use my "Sword" Name .... well -- Kind of ... had to substitute a "zero" for the "O" but I'm loving this just the same.  And the Ideas I'm getting from viewing all the other people creations is awesome. I guess better late than never. :-) If you have a few minutes to spare check it out and build your own character.   God Bless!

  • that's always been my favorite aspect of the Corps. It is a definite Science Fiction concept, which may go a long way towards explaining why a lot of fanboyz think it is lame. The concept of the GL Corps is in essence a rip off of the Lensman concept penned by E.E. "Doc" Smith, back in the pulp science fiction days of the early 1930's an 40's. His group featured a powerful "tool" or "weapon" actually implanted in the lensman, which was a corps with all kinds of alien races represented as members. I've never been able to get my hands on any of the Lensmen books or stories, but there was an anime film done; it suffered from a common aspect of anime, in that it took enormous ammounts of time to tell a story that could have been told just as well in an hour and a half!

  • Understood! But until I create my own set up ... this one has to do :) - However I will admit - the different - GL's are very interesting and unique.
  • Glad you're liking it Dremond. I'm not sure I could be happy playing around in that universe as anything other than a Green Lantern, and with the obvious limitations on the use of the GL Power Ring that come along with any video game, it would get frustrating rather quickly!
