CHRISTIAN COMIC ARTS SOCIETY :: A NETWORK OF CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP FOR COMICS FANS, PROS, AND AMATEURS

I was interviewed again...

Andrew Rowland and I had a nice, lengthy discussion concerning comics and art. We talked about AN ACT OF FAITH, the comic book industry, working in comics, and my teaching about the art of making comics. You can listen to the interview here...

  • Thanks, Brien.

Yeah, doing the interview was fun.

It’s really important for creators to discuss the comics industry. Not many of us do. A lack of discussion isn’t very helpful for young artists entering the field.

I gotta check out Lewis’ sci-fi work.
  • Great interview.      Since it’s was a hundred minutes long, I listened as I worked on my strip and it kept my interest the whole time. It really helps that Rowland is a competent, new artist  and you’re an experienced communicator and very pro comic creator. You guys have a lot more depth in the super hero field than I do so it was fun hearing you discuss plot intricacies of comic titles I had only heard of.

PS. Yeah, the CS Lewis space trilogy is definitely worthwhile reading, although each is stylistically very different. The first is a basic, well-told adventure, the second is almost ballad like and the third is apocalyptic romance and has the most complex characters.
