CHRISTIAN COMIC ARTS SOCIETY :: A NETWORK OF CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP FOR COMICS FANS, PROS, AND AMATEURS

Hello, I've returned.

I'm not sure how else to start this, but here I go. It has been over three years since I joined this site. A lot has happened then, crazy stuff that I wouldn't be able to explain all in one post. I totally forgot how to use this site, and I don't really know how else to say this. I've been going through a lot of mental illness and depression, and it stopped me from working on my manga. I have been doing a lot of fan art, but two nights ago, I felt that the Lord was calling me to start working on my manga again. I've been the most active on Instagram, and for over two years was clinging to Dragon Ball Z art. I gained lots of followers from DBZ fan art, and was afraid of change. But now, I feel the need to get back to my story and do what truly makes me happy. I've decided to start using this site again to connect with other Christian artists. I've posted some recent original manga character illustrations for you guys to see. I hope to stay committed to posting here, as I have other social media to run. I hope to connect with you all and hear from you guys very soon. Thanks for reading and God bless. ~ Dana

  • @Ralph Thank you so much! God bless!
  • Welcome back.  Thank you for sharing what you could and I will be praying for you.  May you continue to grow in the knowledge of His great love for you. Love the tribute piece you recently posted.

  • Okay good to know!

  • It's done that to me when I try to type in emoticons.

If you use private E-Mail to a friend, there's a "Reply" button after you read it.

  • Aww, that sucks that there's no reply button or something like that. And I also found that the site is really buggy. Like I'm typing and my words autocorrect to not even a legitimate word. :/

  • You can go to the page they left the comment on to reply, or you can leave it on the senders profile page.

    I hope this helps!

  • Thank you so much Kevin! Also does anyone know how to reply to comments? I can't figure it out.

  • Thank you so much Dan! Yes, art can be very therapeutic! I just did some inking and coloring today using my Faber-Castell PITT Artist Pens and Prismacolors! Currently working on something for a contest on Instagram.
  • Welcome back to the site.  I don't really post a whole lot, but I do check in and read up from time to time.  I'd encourage you to get into your art.  It can be very therapeutic.  You do good work.  Keep it up!

  • I joined last July, so I haven't met you yet. I'm Yoshi, and I like drawing in the manga style as well.

Your art is really good! How long have you been drawing?
