Churches need Geeks, now.

As California hunkers deeper into Corona Virus isolation, many churches (mine included) are being forced to seriously consider virtual church services. This forces praise teams, worship leaders, sunday school teachers and pastors into steep learning curves as they scramble to aquire and use the Apps and software that will get their voices online.

Geeks of goodwill!   Now is the time to contact your churches and voluteer your social media and recording abilities. Let them know you are willing and able to lend a keyboard and knowhow to getting Gods word to the isolated. Go!  Go!

  • We rolled out our first "service" this morning on Facebook. Some parts worked pretty well (Videos of songs made with ipads, record at low resolution) if they were loaded the night before. The short interview with out church's Coffee bar barista was particularly charming. Unfortunately The sermon took so long to load it never made it on. We should be able to stream with Facebook Live but couldn't get it to go.
Geeks report to your nearest church for duty, now.
    • I love it! The last church I went to would have fought tooth and nail agaist this, even in these circumstances. I praise God in that He has made a place in His service for people like us.
