"Broken" by Robert Flores: A mini-review by me

Hi everyone:) Say, I just got this great book, "Broken" by Robert Flores. It impressed me and lifted my spirits tonight, so I thought I would share my thoughts about it.

Robert writes very well, in an entertaining and easy-to-read style, and I was soon caught up in the story of his youth and his relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. He and I have lived very different sorts of lives, but it was easy for me to empathize with him and to cheer him on when God gave him the victory over the hard times and temptations. It was very interesting to me to read about what it was like growing up in a Catholic Christian home, what drove him to excel at art, how he viewed the world through the various stages in his life. Again, we have lived very different sorts of lives, but somehow he took me back to my own days in High School, College, made me remember who I was and what it was like. My own life is like the history of Israel, more rebellion and backsliding than faith and worship. Robert's testimony, from the real Robert that emails me sometimes, and always is an encouragement and a blessing, gives me hope that I too will someday be living a life that will look like Jesus. I love this book!

Take care all,
& God bless you!
