This is a transcript I made for a friend, but the message has impacted my relationship with God deeply.Beloved in Grace,SoubaYou can also watch it on youtube:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZxn5NdSl10Hillsong Church Conference 07 Excerpt Transcript:Pastor Joseph Prince: But the moment you see Jesus on the cross being punished for your sins, all is peaceful inside. Somebody has paid for your sins. AmenThe reason there is now no condemnation to us who are in Christ, is not because God has gone soft on sin. It is precisely because God is Holy that there is no condemnation. What do you mean Pastor Prince? Because 2,000 years ago at the cross God punished and poured out His wrath and judgment and punishment on Jesus Christ for our sins!He was bearing your sins, my sins He had no sins of His own!He did no sin, in Him is no sin, He was punished for our sins, and there is a law in the courts called the law of double jeopardy the same crime cannot be tried twice. God cannot punish our sins in the body of Christ and then punish it in our lives. Hallelujah!Because God is Holy He cannot punish you, oh you’re not hearing me because God is Holy He will not and “cannot” punish you! And He designed it that way.God is not merciful in making you righteous God is righteous in making you righteous. His mercy sent His son, His love sent His son, but it is His righteousness that justifies you.At the cross Jesus cried “My God, My God why have you forsaken me?”You know that was the first time Jesus cried to His father “My God.” If you study the Gospels you’ll find He always called his father as father. That was the first time at the cross openly so that all of us will know that He became sin and lost that relationship on our behalf so that you and I can cry to God “My father, my father, Abba, Abba, my father! Halleluiah! He cried “Why have you forsaken me” out loud! So we would all know he was forsaken at the cross so that we can cry “father you will never leave me or forsake me” and sometime you feel like crying “father, why have you so blessed me.” It’s all paid for folks, 2,000 years ago. Halleluiah, Halleluiah.I feel like His love is just falling like rain in this place. People are becoming whole spirit, soul, and body, Halleluiah. There is therefore no condemnation, to those who are in Christ.God made Jesus on the cross to become sin, He who knew no sin became sin with your sins, so that you who know no righteous will become righteous, in Christ. But Pastor Prince how can you say that I am righteous, having done no right thing in my life, how can I become righteous apart from my performance, Pastor Prince?Well, you have to answer me first. How come Jesus became sin at the cross, apart from his performance? It does not take the Holy Spirit to understand law. Law says do good get good, do bad, get bad, and we still hear that kind of preaching today. Karma… My Name is Earl. No, that’s not Christianity, come one now. Christianity is we receive good that we don’t deserve, because Jesus received all the bad he did not deserve! And that takes the Holy Spirit to understand the Holy Spirit has not come to teach you the law, He has come to unveil grace. And our Lord Jesus said “The Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head,” but finally at the cross the Bible says he cried “It is finished!” What is finished? All the price, all that we need to justify us and to lead a victorious life. It’s all finished it’s all paid for, at the cross. And you know what He did? Listen and you know what he did right after that? The Bible says He bowed His head, and gave up the Spirit. That word Bowed is the same Greek word, that the son has nowhere to lay His head. Finally rested His head in loving you in redeeming you in blessing you in healing you. This is the grace of God, His grace is greater than all our sins. How many of you hear it said, you know Pastor Prince you cannot preach too much on grace it’ll cause license to sin in the church. Number one, people are sinning without license. The Bible says “the strength of sin is the law,” have you read that? “The strength of sin is the law” who do you think is the one that is, that is deceiving us putting a constancy around grace? Is the devil cause he knows the law is his weapon to knock you. Amen? The Bible says, and I’ll close with this. In 1 John 4:17 “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment.” How many want to have boldness in the day of judgment? Amen “That we may have boldness in the day of judgment” because as He is presence tense at the Father’s right hand crowned with glory and honor As He is so are we in this world! That’s how we have boldness in the day of judgment. Today God is not judging you, looking at you. God is assessing you judging you, looking at the perfect man as His right hand!In ancient Israel, everything rises and falls based on the High Priest. If the High Priest is good God receives the whole nation, if the High Priest is bad God rejects the whole nation! Folks I want you to know Jesus Christ lives as your high priest after the power of an endless life! Halleluiah! As He is so are we in this world! Stop asking the question “Am I accepted before God?” Ask instead “is Christ accepted before the Father?” Because as He is so are you in this world. The devil wants you to look at yourself he wants to turn your around and say look at this fault, look at this sin look at this, look at all your faults. Church, point the devil to Jesus and say “devil that’s who I am” As He is, and every which way you turn Jesus you see perfection, every which way you turn Jesus you see brilliance every which way you turn Jesus you see, you see glory. As He is, so are we in this world.
