I had the opportunity to speak at my old high school in a creative writing class and a mythology class about comic books and my self published works. While I was speaking to the class I did this live soft pastel drawing. I chose Alice in Wonderland because the day I spoke was March 5th, the same day the movie came out and I wanted to draw something they could relate to, plus my wife really loves the Alice stories. I donated the art to the classes. The one here is from one of my practice versions. I had to practice drawing them since I only had 30 minutes to complete it. Everyone seemed to enjoy the experience.
Congratulations on this print! I'm curious; what made you do an image of Alice? What it from the popularity of the movie version? Or have you always liked the books?
