Lettering is done with Comic Press, but my lettering could use a lot more attention than its getting. A tip of the hat to Kevin Terry, whose keen insight helped me adjust the "bottom-line" on panel 5. California “Tribes” are as diverse in language and background as the peoples of Europe, so I picked five of the main mythological characters that I wanted to work into my graphic story: Abalon. The rather indistinct figures at the top are ‘the predecessors’; in Northern Californian mythology they are indistinct immortals mentioned at the start of origin tales but don’t concern themselves with affairs on Earth.</p><p>I am exploring this as a way of starting my story. Any and all critique welcomed, please.</p></div>Thunderbolt 2https://my.christiancomicarts.com/photo/thunderbolt-2-12014-03-30T02:38:02.000Z2014-03-30T02:38:02.000ZBrien Sparlinghttps://my.christiancomicarts.com/members/BrienSparling<div><img src="https://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/3448932497?profile=RESIZE_400x&width=400"></div><div><p>Same scene in the story drawn a year later and a different POV. At that point the results are less important than what you have become by making the decision.</p><p>Artists note: Any time a strip can communicate without words is pretty sweet. I really like being able to move the plot forward from frame 3 to 4, in time without saying, "The next day." Having Abalon hold the same pose keeps the readers focus on the decision he has made in frame 3.</p><p>I really wrestled with the script on this page because when the story gives you a powerful moment, you feel like you should say something more profound than 'Follow your dreams." And yet, God doesn't have to say a lot to us, because he doesn't have to(Micah6:8,Rom1:20),we just need a lot of reminders. And frankly, stepping out in faith rather than fear(2Tim1:7) is something I needed to be reminded of often.</p></div>Ch2 Pg22 Believehttps://my.christiancomicarts.com/photo/ch2-pg22-believe2014-02-05T06:02:15.000Z2014-02-05T06:02:15.000ZBrien Sparlinghttps://my.christiancomicarts.com/members/BrienSparling<div><img src="https://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/3448921976?profile=RESIZE_400x&width=400"></div><div><p>I did inks and script(with advice from Kevin Lintz), coloring was done by the talented Kevin Terry.
