    Powerful. This image seems to get across the idea of being dead to the world yet alive in Christ. Being dead to the world we cease expecting the world to satisfy our wants and desires. Once we cease expecting we realize we have all things through Christ.

    It's certainly thought provoking, I think I can see the point you are making. The stakes/ nails forming a cross over the dead's heart reminiscent of slaying a vampire is pretty sharp. A bit spooky, but a strong illustrative art, and wonderfully painted.
