  • This looks really tight and clean. I think David needs to be heavily shaded as it shows him in the giant's shadow, and it creates a contrast between David and Goliath to set them apart making it easier on the viewer/reader.

Did you leave Goliath hairless to make his face more expressive (because it works!) or it just wan't the look you had in mind (which is equally cool- this is a creative exercise!)?

Look forward to seeing more of this!

  • You add some very awesome detail.

  • ooooh cool....

  • Oh duh, it's not colored yet, ha ha! Forget my comment about the black on the belt buckle. I don't know what I'm talking about far too often...Aaaah!
  • I love the armor design you chose. Scale mail is one of my favorite archaic armors. I don't know why it phased out and got replaced by chainmail, you'd think it would have the flexibility of chain and a little of the rigidity of plate armor, wouldn't you? The size of your Goliath...he's enormous! Excellent artwork! The one thing I'm uncertain about is the embossed animal head design on Goliath's belt buckle. What do you think about lightening it up? The black just draws my eye a little more than I'd like when I'm enjoying the rest of the drawing. But that could just be me. This is one of the best David and Goliath pictures I've ever had the pleasure to see:)
