I would like general feedback on this one; and specific feedback on the transition between pic 2 & 3, and the square word balloon on pic 3. Trying to use very basic Spanish to enhance the plot without confusing anyone; does the dialogue work? Thanks in advance.

I think the Spanish works fine. It enhances the story, but does not take away from it if someone doesn't know Spanish.
As for the square box, that is typically used for captions and internal dialogue, not spoken word. Since Patron speaks two other times on the page, and both have normal speech balloons, his balloon in Panel 3 should be the same. Just make a normal balloon and have the tail leading off panel, toward the bottom or left edge of the panel.
