My story begins
Because my main protagonist is California Native American, my story involves characters from California Native Mythology. California “Tribes” are as diverse in language and background as the peoples of Europe, so I picked five of the main mythological characters that I wanted to work into my graphic story: Abalon. The rather indistinct figures at the top are ‘the predecessors’; in Northern Californian mythology they are indistinct immortals mentioned at the start of origin tales but don’t concern themselves with affairs on Earth.
I am exploring this as a way of starting my story. Any and all critique welcomed, please.
