  • I like this drawing too! Oddly, though, the first thing I thought when I read the caption was, "What if Eisner's other "Spirit" feature characters were buffed up? For example, imagine P'Gell weilding an armchair or a porch column instead of a vase? "Me P'Gell. Huhn! This not story for little boys!"

I should take my meds now...
  • I like your style, and you just gave me an idea. What if in the realm of this character, there has always been a 'spirit', from generation to generation. And what if, when trouble warrants it, whomever is the spirit of the moment can call on the energies of all past 'spirits', and channel that energy into him/or herself for the task at hand. That would explain the suddenly 'buff' look of the current spirit. Once the crisis has passed, the latent spirit energy is returned to the next realm, to wait until called upon again. Either way this is an awesome drawing!
