Area(s) of Interest or Expertise:

Peanuts franchise and religion; religion and media academic research; Christmas;

My Testimony: (We encourage members to share briefly about how their faith in Christ has impacted their lives.)

My personal faith in the redemptive love of Christ remains very important to me. I was raised in a wonderful Christian home, served as church pianist for 14 years, and am very pleased that I can bring the insights and energy provided by this to my current research.

Dream Job: (If you could have your dream job in the comics industry, what would it be?)

I am always open to creative opportunities. My current role as Assistant Professor of Business Communication, which allows me to conduct research on the intersection of religion and media, is pretty close to ideal for me. It has been integral in the completion of my upcoming book on religion in the Peanuts comic strip franchise, "A Charlie Brown Religion: Exploring the Spiritual Life and Work of Charles M. Schulz."

Favorite Comic Creators:

- Charles Schulz (my book on his religious life and work will be released this November - "A Charlie Brown Religion") - Peter David (Spider-Man 2099 was easily my favorite as a child; I even had a letter published in its fan section at the back)
