I love fantasy novels the best. Although I will read most anything, Romance, Suspense, Sci-fi, Historic, and Chick-lit (in small doses). ^_^

Donita K. Paul is my favorite fantasy author. She writes the Dragonkeeper series, some of the best books I have ever read. I also like Wayne Thomas Batson and his "Enter the door within" series.

Frank Peretti is my favorite author of Suspense/thriller books. His stories are so creative. I was awed when I first read his books years back. I had never read anything about angelic warfare before him.

As for writing, I mainly aspire to write fantasy novels, though I try to create Chick-lit stories, because those are the easiest published. *sighs* Someday...

I also come up with a lot of romance stories that for some reason revolve around a fantasy world. *sweatdrop*

What about anyone else?

  • I'm a bit of a Star Trek snob. I like the novels based on the Original Series best (Kirk rocks!) but the Next Generation novels are growing on me. My favorite novel would have to be 'How Much for just The Planet', the only comedy ever written for the franchise to my knowledge.

  • I usually go for fantasy or Sci-fi...but a graphic novel series I grew up reading as a kid called Amelia Rules! was huge deal to me as well, so...guess it just depends. Really want to do fantasy or sci-fi books, may even do a dystopian one. Love Jimmy Gownley as a graphic novelist, but as for book books I liked reading The Sisters Grimm as a kid as well as The Secret Series and Peter and the Starcatchers. Currently searching for well written imaginative books for my age range that don't have inappropriate garbage that makes my life more complicated. Still searching. =/

  • Nabokov, DH Lawrence, Ray Bradbury

  • I like to read and write Sci Fi/Fantasy books. At the moment, I have written one book called "The Chronicles of Ann & Lo". The book series I am reading right now is "Nemesis Rising" by Glenda Finklestein. I am looking forward to the movie one day. She is a great writer, and I am learning a lot from her.
