Hi there - Calix here, long-time CCAS'er, first-time poster! <grin>

EDIT: I just realize I quite rudely left off the most important part: this is a spec project and has no up-front money, sorry! It will be a deferral-profit-sharing arrangement yet to be determined (I've never done a comic before so I don't know what's equitable yet, but I tend to be extremely generous to my partners and my peeps always eat before I do! <smile>)

I've just published my sci-fi novel Stardog (http://www.amazon.com/Stardog-Mr-Calix-Lewis-Reneau/dp/1480166472 ) and the amazing artist who did my cover, Justin Deasy, has agreed that it would be great fun to create a four-ish mini-series prequel comic.

As he has relationships with publishers via his other work, it seems worth pursuing - plus it's a fun story to tell.

Additionally, one of my producing partners has a perinneal booth site at Comic-Con and has agreed to let me use his well-placed booth (next to one of the major movie studios, in the middle around "C") to launch and promote the first ish.

So I need a pencilist.
