Unabridged: By not missing out one word from the biblical text readers will know it is a trustworthy, authentic and authoritative rendering. Also, the original pace, subtly and the important but lesser known elements are retained.
Rich historical and geographical setting: In depth historical research and landscapes drawn from the real locations give the story a rich and accurate middle eastern and historical setting.
Aimed at an adult market: The aim of this project is to fill the gap in the market between illustrated children’s Bible stories and the full black and white text of the Bible. It will obviously be popular with churches, but also within high schools and libraries as it is a word-for-word presentation of highly influential ancient literature.
Who is it for?
The audience is broadly 15-40, (65% male to 35% female) but within this I see three groups I am hoping to bless with the project.
15-21 Church youth: Too cool for kids stuff but not likely/ready to read a text Bible
Christian Adults: Those who love the scriptures and want to visualise the stories in more depth.
Non Christians Comic Readers: Stocked in comic shops, libraries and schools this work could reach a demographic unlikely to reached by church or Alpha.
