I’m trying to figure out at what point Brianna’s older brother, Darias, is going to get killed off. Originally his murder was going to be the second case, but I’ve changed up the story since then. Tonight I was thinking about if the series would be stronger if Darias died right before the story begins. Somehow, Brianna needs to end up with custody of her 11-year-old niece, Olivia. Any ideas? Also, are there any good free/ cheap tutorials/ courses on how to use Medibang Paint out there?

  • Does she know who killed him in the first place?

You could make it that he died before the story began, but the case reopened.

I'm sorry, I don't know about the Medibang Paint.

    • Thanks! That’s a good idea, but I’m trying to figure out how Brianna’s allowed to investigate the murder of her brother.

  • Having the story begin with his death is a great idea. It makes Brianna a more sympathetic character immediately.

    • Thanks! Should it be the first case or an event that happens before the story begins? I’d make it the first case but there is the plot hole of Brianna and Darias being siblings.
