I have been on this page for 6 years, and it occurred to me today that I have literally no idea what CCAS even does. The About page talks of various publications I cannot seem to find except Proverbs and Parables, which seems to cost a lot from the sellers I can find. Otherwise, the Alpha-Omega magazine appears to be its only other output, excepting that it is an exclusive magazine available only to a select few.
That's cool if it is just a social space - or at least has been for the past few years - but I'm pretty sure there's more going on, right?
Also, aside from Scott, who moderates this? Who are the people in charge? And who is Scott?!
I DEMAND ANSWERS!!! :-)

The CCAS was founded 30 years ago by Don Ensign, who has since gone home to be with the Lord. He wanted a forum in which Christians who love comics could fellowship. It started out with the Alpha Omega apa-zine you mentioned which connected Christian fans from all over the United States and abroad.
About 20 years ago, other CCAS members got tables at comic book conventions in San Diego, Chicago, and St. Paul. The CCAS has also had tables at comic book conventions in Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco, Portland, and other venues. At these conventions, the CCAS gives out tracts and Bibles, sells Christian based materials, and hosts various panels.
The CCAS hosted the 1st Christian comic book convention in the Southern California area in 2014 and 2015. Lord willing we will host another con in 2016. Scott is a member of the CCAS board along with Clint D. Johnson, Holly Knevelbaard, Luis Serrano, and myself, Ralph Miley. Don Ensign and Scott managed the website, but with Don's passing, Scott is the only moderator. Eric Jansen is heavily involved with the Alpha Omega publication.
I hope this may answer some of your questions.
