Since this is the off season, I suggest we list the comic conventions that had a Christian comics table or Christian comics event in 2008.When I say Christian comics table, I mean a table with more than one Christian comic title. (Promoting your own book is great, but my idea is to list the shows where people could find several Christian comics.) I also mean the Christian content is open and clear. If you plan to have your mutant ninja berserker superhero accept Jesus as Savior and Lord in issue #50, let's list your table when that happens, okay?Someone just asked, "What is a Christian comics event?" I don't want to argue about definitions, but to me it's a panel discussion, chapel service, or something bringing Christianity and comics together at the show.I think such a list would not only encourage and recognize those who do these things, it would also let fans know where they could find them. So, which comic conventions had a Christian comics table or Christian comics event in 2008?

I was involved with the CCAS table at the Tucson Comicon three weeks ago on November 8 at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel Convention Center in Tucson Arizona. Very good response.
Also the CCAS had their table at the San Diego Comicon in July. They also had a Spiritual Themes Panel, a Saturday night get together and a Sunday morning chapel service/panel discussion.
Ralph Miley will be having a CCAS table at a brand new Comic Con in Claremont, CA on December 20.
We have also applied for a space in the Small Press area at the WonderCon in San Francisco. Then Eric Jansen and Kevin Yong will have a table in Artist Alley at the Wizard Con in Los Angeles. For 2009 the CCAS has been in L.A., Tuscon, and San Diego.

Ralph, please clarify - Since you put that last sentence in the past tense, I'm assuming you meant 2008, right? Or do you mean the CCAS will be at these shows in 2009?
Christian writer-artist Bob Luedke was at Mid-OH Con, selling his EYEWITNESS graphic novels. Since
there are now three volumes of them, does that count? Otherwise, I don't know of any Christian
comics being hawked there this year. Chris Yambar was supposed to be there (though if so, I never
saw him), but he does mainly secular stuff. And former Green Lantern artist Darryl Banks was also
present, but again, he is a Christian but doesn't do Christian comics. So I'm assuming, boiling all
this down a short response, the answer is "No."
