I am starting a home-based greeting cards business and seeking a cartoonist to illustrate the face of my cards. I am branding my cards with two main cartoon characters, namely a donkey and an ox. In Deut. 22:10 it tells us not to yoke a donkey and ox together for they are unequally yoked. My line of greeting cards are UNEQUALLY YOKED CARDS. The idea is the create humorous cards for people who are mismatched with their current mate. I write to inscriptions for the cards and the illustrator does the artwork with the donkey being the female and the ox the male.
If interested or curious contact me for more info. I will send you an inscription for a card or two and you create the illustration as a sample. This is a paid job or an opportunity for limited partnersh

Surely you're an artist of imagination that's what I need because many times another person especially a professional in a specific field can offer insight as you have done in your rough drafts. Nevertheless, I assure you that our imagination doesn't control us, we control our imagination. After all cartoon characters is the world of make believe. Therefore, I have no doubt that you, as an artist, can create believable cartoon characters no matter how your imagination tries to lead you because your talent is the boss. Just as male actors play female roles and are believable on stage and rake in millions so can an artist be believable. I can tell by your work and suggestions that you would be a good man to have on board but one who will constantly share his thoughts, which is a good thing.
I will contact you Monday.

Hi Christopher,
I like your art; however, I specifically requested that the donkey be the female and the ox the male. The reason for the is the ox is known to be strong and the donkey known for being stubborn. I don't want the female to appear bigger and stronger than the male because in reality the male is usually bigger and stronger. Also on the actual cards the characters and card itself would have to be colored because color an array of color would draw people's attention.
Hold off doing anything further until look at other drawings and have a discussion with my partner. I will contact you again on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012.
Thanks

ok, I drew a few rough draft sketches of what I had in mind. The ox is the female, short and chunky. Her horns curl around her face like hair. The donkey is the male and he is tall and skinny. His mane is pulled back in a pony tail. My other idea was to make them more simplified and cartoony with a minimalist approach.

I appreciate the sharing of your vision. However, I am a retired guy who is not seeking to become the next wealthest man alive, just make a nice living in an untapped market. Meanwhile, I am not unaware that 50% of all marriages end in divorce and very likely nearly 90% of all dating couples never get married in the first place. Therefore, it stands to reason that many people are in mismatched relationships, and sending one another a hint of a break-up pending might become a new trend.
We're living in an era of trange things happening and becoming successful. Look at all of those extremely ridiculous reality shows raking in millions. More unlikely things have happened. A few years ago, I never would have thought two male figurines on wedding cakes would sell but today the figurines are jmping off the shelves.
Do you realize how many people 20 years ago would have betted their life that there would never be a black president in America?
Just because a concept is new and a bit strange, don't automatically bet against it.
Nevertheless, expansion is a viable possibility but for now I want to be the first to open an untapped market of UNEQUALLY YOKED GREETIG CARDS.
How soon can I see your samples?

Hi Christopher,
This is a broader idea of what I have in mind with a bit of an explanation.
