Print-On-Demand Merch Idea

So, I'm working on an idea for some merch for LABS, and I'm looking for some feedback.

I was thinking about all those collector boxes I keep seeing. A box of stuff based on a licensed property. This sort of thing or like this.

Well, I think I can make a smaller version for LABS. And it would be print-on-demand, so I wouldn't have overhead. There's a company called theGameCrafter.com, and they're like CafePress or CreateSpace, but for board games and card games. They print all sorts of components and boxes. I've used them for business cards for a while and they are great for that. Their playing cards come in a lot of sizes, including biz card.

So I started thinking... there's a lot of possibilities here.

  • Saddle Stitched Booklet
  • Laser Cut Stickers
  • Mini Prints (playing card sized)
  • Fake Ephemera cards (ID tags, Scuff's Department Store Member's Club Card, etc.)
  • Medium Sized Prints
  • Notepad
  • Laser Cut Acrylic
  • Various Box Options

and other stuff that's less relevant to LABS, like custom dice, meeples, etc. Packaging options vary from boxes to foil "booster" packs.

I'm thinking of doing two price points, like a set of cards or stickers and a box set with several things plus the small set.

Any thoughts?
