  • My day at the 2014 New York Comic Con at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City was... um, something. That something was crowds, fanboys, artist friends, publishers, and over-enthusiastic cosplayers. The good and the bad.

I started off with breakfast at the Skylight Diner on 34th street. Big mistake. The diner is several blocks from the Jacob Javits Center. So, yesterday morning, this favorite eatery of mine was packed with fanboys. It was very aggravating to wait so long before the waitress to take my order. I know, wah-wah me...

New York Comic Con was crazy busy. There must have been thousands of folks at the convention. The place smelled like a combo of Ck One and nerd. (Ya know, if a convention is going to have "professional hours," then maybe those hours should JUST be for professionals, not also for fans that purchase a four-day pass.)

I was at the convention for two hours. I spent almost all of that time at Artist Alley. I had the opportunity to chat with friends and colleagues such as Fernando Ruiz, Dan Parent, Scott Wegener, Terry Moore, and Bill Bill Sienkiewicz.

I posted this before, but it still sums up my feelings about the New York Comic Con... but, be warned...
