I've been working on a mystery manga for about a year now, and I've encountered several a huge problem. I've been reading a book about how to write crime fiction, and I was reading about the vast amount of research involved. Some of what is required (like interviewing criminal justice workers or traveling to where my story takes place several times a year) I couldn't possibly do! I'm seriously considering abandoning the project. I've invested months into this comic. What should I do!

Step 1: Check in with your Lord; how's your relationship? Do you feel like this Manga mystery is a project you can share with him, and do with his help? All of us at CCAS have time of frustrations with our projects...as well as frustrations in our personal lives. Your decision on your project starts with this relationship check.
Step2: Check your story outline. Does it have a beginning, middle and end that work together? tell the message you want to tell? has interesting characters and situations? If it does...then you may postpone it but you shouldn't abandon it.
Step3: Keep writing/drawing/ creating...on something : work on different projects, write or draw descriptions of characters and scenes, scenarios that are fun and exciting. Creativity is a muscle that you need to keep working if you want to get it in good shape.
Need guidance about what to do next
