CHRISTIAN COMIC ARTS SOCIETY :: A NETWORK OF CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP FOR COMICS FANS, PROS, AND AMATEURS

Hi there! If you enjoy media similar to: Alice in Wonderland, Pilgrim's Progress, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Pinnochio, Five Nights at Freddy's, Snow White, Chronicles of Narnia and Coraline... then I invite you to take a look at my teen, Christian graphic novel series titled: 'The Spirit Seeds,' where each magical seed represents a different quality of the Fruit of the Spirit.

Set in a Victorian Gothic Era with modern twists, follow the redemptive journey of Lacey, a spoiled doll collector who wakes up in an unfamiliar hallway. With no memory of how she arrived, Lacey explores the halls in search of answers and quickly discovers she is trapped inside a mansion plagued by a terrible disease that is harming the animal inhabitants. And to Lacey's displeasure, she is now tasked with finding the only cure, the Spirit Seeds. That is, if she wishes to return home.

Book 2 of this series has recently been released and I'm looking for some readers that like this genre to review it. The series can be read on my website for free or on Webtoon or Tapas. It's also available as an ebook or paperback. I will not be supplying an ebook/paperback because it's free to read on different sites already.

If this series sounds like something you're interested in reviewing for free, please comment.

Thanks so much!

  • Hello, I'm Gerry Lee. I am just an amateur aspiring Christian Comics wannabe writer, so don't take anything I say too seriously. But I think you've got a fine artistic style and I enjoyed reading Chapter 1 of your story. Thank you very much for making it available for free, that's very generous. Your writer's voice speaks clearly and with a natural sounding way. I was quite engrossed in the first chapter. Like I said, I am just an aspiring writer with no formal training, but I think you do very well. The tree in the conservatory and the inclusion of Scripture in the Raccoon's dialog gave me thrills as I am a Christian and look very much forward to seeing these mysterious hints realized and explained. I think there are some very good moments ahead and will read chapter 2 soon. Only 2 critique points to make. There are some dialog balloons where the lettering is a bit too close to the next bubble's content< I -think- it was page 19, and a later page where the lettering diminishes visibly in size. Minor things, but they did very briefly pull me out of my immersion. And I did wonder why your protagonist didn't seem to think a raccoon talking was remarkable, but I imagine most readers will accept it as I did as normal enough to her. IN any case, when your character met up with the three other anthropomorphic folks, I didn't feel any disruption at all. Overall, I think you've produced a very fine work and should keep at it! ---- God bless you and your stories!------ Gerry Lee
