Does anyone have any thoughts about how society views Irregulars? I know their powers have to be kept secret from the general public. I don’t know if the government is aware of them and /or on their side. One of New Eden’s core cultural ideas is “Ma Rei Vuls” or “Chosen Family.” People get together with their closest friends during holidays and adoption is fairly common. How would this affect Irregulars? Many Irregulars who’s powers manifested when they were children or teens (and some as adults) don’t have good family lives because of the strain put on Guardians trying to take care of children with frightening abilities. For Irregulars with other conditions (such as depression or anxiety), powers can go haywire and spin out of control. I’m hoping to explore oppression, marginalization, eugenics, genocide, and how the world treats the most vulnerable.
