"I knew you…" Part 1

"I knew you…" Part 1Jeremiah 1:4 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. The word:Whenever you hear Gods word it's as though God has come to you in person. John 1:1-5,14. Gods word is substance, it's matter yet intangible, it has volume yet is immeasurable, it's a sound yet can be touched. When the Word comes to you don't take HIM lightly…God doesn't waist time, he doesn't speak idle words, so anything he has to say must be important…So if his words are important the people he sends it to must be important too.MeIt's personalJeremiah didn't say he came to us, but he came to me.And yes Jesus did come to the world, but every time you hear Gods word it's personal… Salvation is a personal experience, if it wasn't then one person could give their life to Jesus and everyone would be saved, but it is not so. Every individual in the crowd has to make a personal decision. We judge others and talk about what they're doing and not doing to justify our own consciences, but God is speaking to you as an individual. Don't look at other peoples' responsibilities, the word that God sends is for you.Repeat this with me, "the word of the Lord came unto ME…"Me-When Jeremiah received the word he was a child. This lets me know that God is no respecter of persons. Whether you are old or young God will speak to you. Whether you are black or white God loves you. Whether you are rich or poor God wants you… God will send a great word to a little child just as much as he would to a president, king or queen. Many times children feel insignificant because they're told that their opinions on subject matters aren't important, but God speaks to insignificant people, they are very significant to him - 1Cor 1:26-29… So then you are very important because the word that God sends to you is very important…Jeremiah was the son of a priest but his love for God was no longer based on his daddies' experience. He says I'm not serving God simply because I'm the son of a minister but because the word of the Lord came to ME… I've run into many backsliders who told me they used to serve the Lord, and some of them even used to sing on the choir, and was very active in ministry. I was baffled and then asked, "why did you stop serving the Lord?" many replied, "well, when I was younger my grandmamma used to take me to church, and when she died I just stopped going…" that means their love for God was based on someone else's passion for God. They loved God because someone else loved him. But Jesus says if you love your parents or your children more than me you can't be my disciple (paraphrased) -Luke 14:26. This is also because if the people you love more than him turn away, chances are you'll turn away too… So like Jeremiah God wants you to have your own encounter with his Son Jesus Christ. Now you can claim truth is truth, not simply because a person told you but because you yourself have experienced truth. God is a God of experience and revelation, this is how he wants you to know him – Eze 37:13 Matt 16:17 Psa 9:16. The bible isn't simply a story book, but to you it's words are a burning fire in your soul… to you it's not just a novel, but the living word that you can speak to and HE will respond…
