CHRISTIAN COMIC ARTS SOCIETY :: A NETWORK OF CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP FOR COMICS FANS, PROS, AND AMATEURS

Hi! I'm new!

Hi everyone,I'm Susannah or Suzie as most of my friends call me. I also have a bunch of other nicknames, but writing them all down would take too long. Before I get started introducing myself, I'm going to warn you that I ramble.I am an art major at a Christian college. I love to learn to do things with my hands so I enjoy all kinds of arts and crafts.I first got interested in comics/graphic novels the summer of 2007 when my family went to visit my dad's high school friend. I was supposed to be writing my senior paper but, when I discovered the bedroom with three or four bookshelves filled with their comic book collection, my paper got pushed aside. Since then I have read just about every comic book I have been able to get my hands on (which was limited to the meager number at the public library). I started my college years out with a new friend introducing me to anime and manga. Since then I have been reading (and watching) avidly. So I am fairly new to the whole thing.I have been making up stories since I was little, which is probably thanks to my love of reading. My problem is that I have trouble writing things down. I have a very long story planned out in my head. It just doesn't want to be put down on paper. I'm very good at making up characters, though. I have quite a few.

  • In the week that we were visiting my dad's friend I read every Ultimate Spiderman book he had as well as some other superhero volumes.
