My friend sent this link telling me it was a game based off of Christian mythology. She isn't Christian, so when she said Christian mythology I wasn't sure what she was talking about.

The link is to an article on gotquestions.org. The Genesis Record by Henry Morris is a go to book for all your Genesis needs. Henry Morris was always writing how science that disagreed with the Bible wasn't science. At some point he decided to expound on the entire book of Genesis. It is quite a volume of reading material. Still, can't imagine a better place to read about the Nephilim.

I don't really want to discuss it too much as it doesn't have anything to do with salvation. Just think thoughts things like this are fun. A discussion of this nature would also sort of hijack a video game thread... which seems to be far off from the original fun, yet curious inquiry of Samantha.
I found it interesting in this game, that there are angels that fell from Heaven and preferred human companionship over God's companionship. And that Nephilim where creatures born from human and angel pairings.
I wouldn't call the nephilim creatures, they're part human part fallen sons of God, so they have souls but are not allowed in the kingdom of heaven. So, these are where we get the possibility of what demons are their hybrid has an eternal soul but no chance of being found in the presences of God. But who knows, it doesn't matter to me, but they're not creatures like some animal or something. the bible says they were mighty men, giants w/ superhuman qualities and built massive cities of renowned.
Agreed, the little said about the Nephilim really peeks the interest. As for angels, as far as I know, the Hebrew always references angels as male. Besides in Genesis, it was the sons of God who saw the daughters of men beautiful. Was this after the fall of satan and the 1/3rd of angels spoken of in Revelation? Was this 1/3rd the sons of God that committed this act? And better yet, was Satan corrupting Adam's seed to prevent the prophecy given so early in Gensis from coming true? (That would be Missler on that last question.) The theology is fun, but yea, Genesis simply records it as angels acting as men having relations with women. The offspring Nephilim which may have been male or female, I wouldn't know. Either way, children of fallen angels, very powerful by human standards.
The Book of Enoch has 5 books, and keep in mind these writings are considered Jewish, not Christian works. Reason being they don't point to Yeshua as Hamashiach, all the books of the bible point to, nudge at, allude to, Jesus as the messiah in one form or another. & that's why all the books in the bible are considered canon, and why those other jewish writings are not included. The first book is noted in Jude and the last four are twaddle... From what i've heard the Bible doesn't specify the gender of angels they're just called messengers in the o.g. language, so it's possible there are males/females.

In general i think we'd all like to play any game regardless if it's "christian" or not. But, nowadays it comes down to gameplay if the gamemechanics are fun and infinite replay ability, the story is just toppings. & some people don't even like toppings they just scrape that off and get to the cho(m)ppah(ing)!

I guess I will have to try and find a way to get a hold of a copy of the book of Enoch, or find a manuscript online.
As for the game itself, I was more curious to see if anyone here had heard anything about it, or played it. And why they would or wouldn't recommend it to other Christians. They make games on everything else, but very few games that are Christian related. I was also curious to know if, as Christian, would you be willing to play Christian video games? Just in general.

And as for my name, I go by Mantha because that was the nickname given to me. It's what I was called from as far back as I can remember. I use to live in the Philippines, and one of my caretakers called me Mantha. Maybe Samantha was to hard to say. I'm not sure. But, she started calling me that and then everyone started calling me that. =) It stuck. People still call me Sam, and on the rare occasion Sammie, or Sammy, however you want to spell it. But I've become quite partial to Mantha. You don't hear around to often. The only way I've heard it called is Antha, which is Greek for flower.

So the first book of Enoch being taken as prophecy from a Canonized book of the bible I would consider it something to take a look at, but the other books not so much.
In regards to the game I think it's lucifer as the good guy and he tells the main character the missions he has to do, and it's just taking orders from lucifer to beat up fallen angels or something. So, whether this is something christians should check out or waste their time on, as opposed to maybe reading the bible or maybe even the book of enoch 1, I'd say meh whatev's. It is nice to look at tho & to start convo's on enoch.

So there is a book of Enoch? Was it written B.C. or A.D.? I've heard about things like this, where certain books were left out of the Bible, like the book of Judas, because they didn't match up with the old testament. So I was curious to when this book of Enoch was written.
