CHRISTIAN COMIC ARTS SOCIETY :: A NETWORK OF CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP FOR COMICS FANS, PROS, AND AMATEURS

Hello!

Greetings, I'm an aspiring graphic novelist and illustrator and I specialize in character creation and design.  In an effort to connect more with the Christian comic/art community, I did a google search and came across this network!

I'm originally from the Caribbean Islands and now live in the USA. I've done a bit of on-going published work for a youth magazine in Malta and did the art for the book "Here Comes Heaven" along with other private clients for the last 11 years.

3449081600?profile=originalI like comics, fiction novels, video games, animation both East and West and borrow influences from them. Being a child of the 90s, you can talk to me about just about any show or game that came out in that era. Everything from Sonic, Final Fantasy, Zelda, Toonami, to Saved by the Bell ;-)

A lot of my art is anthropomorphic, meaning animals with human traits (blame Disney, haha) since I also love animals very much and wanted to be a vet when I was a child. There is a distinct Japanese Manga influence to my work but I mix and push past its typical tropes and stylistic constraints for my own purposes.

Looking forward to speaking further with you all!

Grace!

  • Hey Taz,

Been tracking your art on Deviant for many years! Admired your anthro work and pushing yourself into new styles; really admire your works showing the life of Jesus. Whoopa!

A while back you did some really sweet fan art for RG 2cents( a member here) and I just sort of assumed you knew about CCAS; So here's a many year delayed "Welcome to CCAS, sis-in-Christ!"

There's a mirror CCAS site on Facebook as well. Make yourself at home here!
