Each year we publish our annual report on the back of a colorful and engaging poster that illustrates the theme of the coming year. We want someone to create the front of the poster for this year's report.
This year our theme will be "Living Into Scripture, Today!" The poster will focus on the message in Luke 4:16-21, where Jesus announces his public ministry.
Our focus is on the call for healing, justice, and inclusion noted in his anointing (verses 18-19) -- with his emphasis on the immediate fulfillment of these works (verse 21) -- as applicable to all of us who follow him today.
We are looking for a comic book or graphics novel style image that captures these works and this immediacy -- and brings people into this living call. This is not a Bible scene, it is a contemporary vision of building the beloved community, with the readers as heroes.
