  • I just wanted to remind all CCAS members that the registration deadline for L'événement BD ("The Comics Event") in Lac-Brome, Québec, is coming up next week – 15 March. All contact information may be found on the L'événement BD web page, and you can write to them in English. If anyone here is planning to attend in April, please do get your registration in ASAP. Thanks!
  • I was there for Day 2 & 3 of the 2005 seminar in Delaware, USA as an instructor, and it was amazing blessing!  The Lord was very manifestly present, and we were all greatly encouraged, teachers and students alike (and the roles often switched, as some of the students were seasoned ministers who had much to share, too).  It was also a pleasure to meet Lisa "Shelter of Wings" Hutchinson who was there as an instructor for Day 2, not to mention our brother Nate whose ministry COMIX35 is.  So, yes, if you can make the Quebec seminar you'll not be disappointed!

I teach at the Kubert School, so will not be able to make this one, but I have enjoyed my travels in Montreal and Quebec City in years past---great food and atmosphere, and a rich culture with much of historical interest as well.

    Kind regards in Christ Jesus,

  • I don't know where you live, Daniel, but I'm encouraging anyone who has really wanted to experience a COMIX35 seminar - and who lives anywhere in North America - to make every effort to attend this event in Lac-Brome, Québec, Canada.

In our 15 years in ministry COMIX35 has only held classes or seminars in the USA four times (1996, 1999, 2000, 2005), and one of those was a day of short classes in a prison. The other 28 or so events have all been overseas (or in Mexico, in Spanish). So a seminar in English on this continent is a rare opportunity. Lac-Brome is just a short distance above the border in the Northeast USA, in the Montreal area.

While it is possible that there will be future seminars within the USA or Canada, as the Lord guides and provides, none are being planned at this time. All our current hosting invitations for 2011 onward are coming from Africa and Asia.
  • wow that looks so cool!  i wish i could go !
  • The Villa de Brome facility in Lac-Brome  is quite spacious, so we should be able to accommodate everyone who wants to take part, I think.

I hope you and your friends will be able to attend, Lord willing!

Am definitely thinking of seeing you there.  And possibly bringing friends.
