I've been really busy lately. I suspect things will slow down in the next few months. Anyway, I've been having an awful time coming up with case ideas, which has led me to think I might need to rework the premise of my series a bit. Currently, the main character is a private investigator for a law firm, but that's given me a difficult time coming up with case ideas. I've also come up with lots of characters for the police department and forensic team. Both of these have led me to rethink the story set up. I came up with several ideas:1. Brianna owns or works for a detective agency across the hall from Dalton's law firm (that's as far as I've gotten).2. Brianna and Dalton both work for some kind of consulting firm that does work with law enforcement agencies(once again, that's as far as I've gotten).3. Brianna is the newest detective on the NEPD (New Eden Police Department) police force.4. Brianna works for a special branch of either the NEPD, the NAI (the National Association of Investigators, New Eden's equivalent of the FBI), or NEISA (the New Eden Intelligence and Security Administration, New Eden's equivalent of the CIA and NSA combined) that investigates bizarre crimes that can't be explained by normal investigations(I haven't figured out how to work the Christian undertones into the series yet). For the last three ideas, I'd have to come up with a different title, and for the last two, I'd need to find a way to work Dalton into the series. Any advice?
