Hi All:

This year I still went ahead with my personal christmas tradition of re-drawing the rockin reindeer concept.  Here it is, since my scanner is packed up, I had to use my phone which didn't work so well.

So this year I thought a friendly competition would be a nice idea to keep us artists at the drawing board and not too wrapped up in the holiday rush.

So, I dub this the "Christmas Rocks" art contest.

(Depending on how many actually participate will determine what kind of judging will take place, might just end up giving props if few participate)

The rules are pretty simple:

-Draw, paint, or sketch a classic Christmas character rockin out.  They can be in punk band, classic rock style, heavy metal, etc.  Colored, Black and white, Photoshop comps and the like are all acceptable.

-No dibs, multiple people can draw the same character (IE one submission is Santa in dreds a la POD, and another submission is Santa with full sleeve tattoo's playing blues guitar a la George Thorogood).

- Combinations are acceptable, like Frosty laying rhymes with the elves as his posse.

- As always, needs to be g-rated, no risque visuals, no offensive gestures or body language. 

- All who submit need to keep it professional, no mudslinging or name calling.  If any plagiarizing or ripping off is suspected, message me or an administrator.

- Lets make this God honoring, Gospel centered exercise.  Christ is in Christmas, so lets keep him in Christmas art.

- As always, Keep it clean, keep it professional, keep it original.

- disclaimer: Just because I started this, doesn't mean I will automatically win.  I won't be using my own piece above as an entry, think of it as setting the tone, inspirational starting point.

All submissions need to be posted on this thread so I can see them and all participating can see them too.  Links are acceptable as long as the thumbnail shows in the thread.

The competition will close on 12/19/2013.  Winners to be announced on this thread between 12/26-12/31/2013.
